To the free peoples living under the just and guiding light of the Whiteraven Alliance,

The most recent assembly of the Council of Elders has concluded. There was much to be discussed regarding the looming threat of the vile Ga'more, and also regarding what is to be done to defend the lands and people that are under the protection of the Church of Light.

I shall provide to you a summary of the minutes:

The first motion brought forth was the absence of Grand Councillor Prince Leopold of the Kingdom of Tiefanue. The motion was put forth by Archbishop Hale for his removal from the position of Grand Councillor. This motion was carried through and a unanimous vote was made in favor of removal. Matron Mother Rachana of the Grē’llana Pride of the Queendom of Felnir went on record to say;

“Although we have voted for the Prince of Tiefanue’s removal as Grand Councillor, do not take this to indicate that we believe he is guilty of any crime other than a dereliction of his duty to this Council. We urge him to come out of hiding and return to us.”

A second motion was made by Councilor Baron Cillian Stanin in regards to the removal of The Island of Kalidor from the Whiteraven Alliance. This vote for removal was carried through unanimously, largely due to the destruction of all civilized life upon the island.

A third motion was put forward, by Councilor Tryfon of the Nation of Aslak, to replace the now deceased Jatar Sumendar with one Ulya Sumendar of the same house. This was carried through unanimously.

With the position of Grand Councillor open, Archbishop Roderick Hale put forth the fourth motion to elevate Citadel Inquisitor General Ashter of the Dawn, who hails from the capital of Tiefanue, Castle Lightguard, to that role. Before the Councillors could cast their votes, the doors to the assembly hall were dramatically opened. The King of Tiefanue, long since unseen, arrived in full regalia and with an entourage of attendants. He put forth his own name for the position of Grand Councillor. All voted in favor of this save for Archbishop Roderick Hale.

The Council now back in order, the topic of conversation turned to preparations against Ga’more. All present agreed that this was to be considered a time of war and that, as per the Accords, the amount of soldiers to be provided by the signees would increase from 20 percent to 40 percent. The Archbishop went on to say that;

“A very real threat has emerged, not on the frontlines, but here on our own continent. The Church of Darkness, whose corruption I have warned against for years, has allowed the worship and following of Ga’more. They have been scattered from their rats nest in the Berphauntian capital but rest assured that their cultists will seek to infiltrate our cities and undermine our efforts. While you provide your fighting men and women to the frontlines to take the battle to our great enemy, the Church of Light shall not leave you unprotected. Reserve forces from our elite Church Guard shall be moved from their duties of protecting our most holy structures and sent instead to garrison your cities. Not only will they provide a bastion from our enemies without, but they shall root out and eliminate the threats that may emerge from within.”

This proposition did not sit well with some. Most notably against the Archbishop’s offer was the King of Tiefanue, the representative from the Queendom of Felnir, Ulya Sumendar (representing the Suvantian rebels), and Baron Cillian Stant of the Republic of Duvain. In the end the issue was put to a vote. It was only by a very small margin that it was decided those of the Whiteraven Alliance would accept the protection of the Church Guard, and the fifth motion was passed..

As the Council moved to discuss exact strategies, troop movements, and logistics, I was politely asked to remove myself from the Council chambers for the sake of security. However, when the Council was adjourned I caught up with Archbishop Roderick Hale who had this final word to say;

“Although our very survival relies upon working together with the egotistical, misguided, and dragon following man who calls himself Emperor, as well as the savage and uncivilized Greenskin tribes, this is only temporary. When the dawn comes they will serve the light or find themselves buried in their own darkness.”
