Making an Amulet of Kael

All,

So, Ive been trying to figure out a good way to make an Amulet of Kael to wear as a neck piece and wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I've previously used clay to make a psionic spell focus but do not find it has enough weight. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hindsight is twenty-twenty. While Underworld Larp has a great team of new player liaisons and helpful community, there are some things we can only learn with time. Share them here, so any less experienced folks reading it can learn from our mistakes and misconceptions, and the rest of us can share a laugh over some of the things we've learned and how it happened.

What are your favourite costuming sources?

Considering how many new players will (hopefully) frequent these forums, and how many of us might want to introduce some fresh pieces into ongoing character costumes, I thought it would be fun to share some of our favourite shops and costume makers!

Please include whether it is a budget, mid range, or luxury vendor. While this might be pretty subjective, I'd call budget pieces 30-40 dollars or under, mid range as 40-80 dollars, and luxury as anything where you'd be braced to pay upwards of 90-100 dollars or higher for a single piece or simple set. I'll answer this question with some of my own favourites as an example.

Note that I intend for this to be base costumes specifically, not armour. Feel free to include vendors that provide both, but the focus should be on "clothing" and accessories!

First LARP event: What should a guild offer?

We'll be writing some posts in the coming weeks about how people can go about starting a new LARP. First, we wanted to reach out to our community in order to get our players thoughts on how new guilds can put their best foot forward. We also thought this would also be a good opportunity to get some mileage out of our community forum voting/ranking system.
